After graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Jim joined the Orange County office of KPMG Peat Marwick. Here he focused his public accounting career in financial institutions with an emphasis on commercial banks. In 1997, he founded Azling & Associates, Inc. and has accumulated over twenty-nine years experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, and consulting. The firm provides tax and accounting services for individuals and business owners. The mission of the firm is to provide clients with relevant and timely information for making accurate decisions.

Tax services include planning to minimize tax liabilities, return preparation, and client representation before tax authorities. We are experienced at preparing returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, LLC’s and corporations (both C and S).

Accounting services include budgets and projections, profitability analysis, internal controls, policies and procedures, tax planning and preparation, general bookkeeping and completion of month end financial reports. Information systems design and installation are offered for accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, marketing and data management. Azling & Associates has experience servicing clients in the industries of mortgage banking, manufacturing and distribution, retail and wholesale sales, residential and commercial services, and construction.

Initial client meetings are not billed. Written proposals are provided for all engagements. Projects are estimated using a flat fee or hourly rate depending on the nature of the engagement. Confidentiality and data security are of utmost importance to the firm.

In addition, my office staff including an Enrolled Agent, 3 staff bookkeepers and an administrative assistant, are available year-round to serve our clients.
